Mission Homefront Deployment Impact Survey for Schools
In many instances and for a multitude of reasons, some military families do not notify their children’s school that a parent or caregiver is or will be deployed. This communication gap makes it very challenging for schools to identify the children who are impacted by military deployment and who may be in need of additional support.
To assist schools in this effort, Mission Homefront provides a downloadable survey and a sample letter that can be modified to fit school needs. The Mission Homefront Family Survey tool helps schools determine how many students within their district are affected by military deployment and identify and concerns or special needs these families may have. Also included is an accompanying letter template that schools can personalize and send to parents.
